Actresses Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively will be seen collaborating in this project following their appearance in a 2018 comedy thriller known as A Simple Favor
Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively are returning with another mystery locked into some twists and turns.
Amazon MGM Studios screened a small teaser trailer of Another Simple Favor sequel to 2018’s thriller A Simple Favor with that star-main cast for the first time Wednesday in February, on 26th to be exact.
The film reunites director Paul Feig with actresses Lively, 37, and Kendrick, 39, playing the roles of Emily Nelson and Stephanie Smothers, respectively, at 2025 SXSW Film & TV Festival on March 7, where the world premiere for the movie will take place.
The synopsis for the film suggests “Stephanie and Emily head to the beautiful island of Capri, Italy, for Emily’s extravaganza wedding to a rich Italian businessman.”

“However, alongside the glamorous guests will come to the wedding also probably a side of murder,” the site reads, “not excluding infidelity and any conspiracy at a ceremony with more twists and turns than the serpentine road from the Marina Grande to the town square of Capri.”
A sequel to A Simple Favor, which was the movie based on the 2017 novel by Darcey Bell, was officially announced in May last year. The same personalities of Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine, Ian Ho and Kelly McCormack are returning along with Lively and Kendrick.
Directed by Feig, who had been in limelight in Lively support during an ongoing legal fight It Ends With Us, said in an earlier X post : “Blake and Anna turn in amazing performances. I can’t wait for you all to see it.”
Another Simple Favor will be premiered on the Prime Video on May 1st.
